TheRenter.ca takes into account that all personal information of users and customers must be kept private and deserves protection. You may traverse and visit the website without registering or providing any personal information. However, we do require certain personal criteria when adding a listing, which will not be shown to the public (ie. address, postal code). This unseen information is only used directly through Map Quest which is a navigational tool that provides directional value for the renter and will not list any numerical address when activated. TheRenter.ca respects your privacy. TheRenter.ca does not sell, nor loan any personal information that is private to anyone. Any personal information given to us will be held with the utmost care.

All personal information and credit card information in the Add Listing process is completed using a secure server. We take all necessary precautions, given today’s advancements, to ensure your personal and credit card information is kept safe and private.
When you search on TheRenter.ca, and depending on how you have your browser configured, a small file called a ‘cookie’ may be stored on your computer. This ‘cookie’ essentially contains a unique personal identification code that is used in order to save your listings and review your saved listings via “The Renter Virtual Agent” the next time you log on. If you have ‘cookies’ turned off within your browser settings, your saved listings will not be remembered each time you visit our site.
